Alexander Marcus is originally from Scarsdale, New York. Prior to working with Jewish Mosaic, Marcus was a volunteer at Kopila Valley Children’s Home in Surkhet, Nepal. In 2009 he earned a B.A. in Religious Studies at Pomona College, where he also taught in the Hebrew School program at Temple Beth Israel in Pomona, California.
